| Building | |||
| Building is one of the most visible aspects of Habitat for Humanity, and a great way to get involved! At the UW Campus Chapter, due to the success of our fundraisers thanks to awesome volunteers, community support, and sponsors, we’re fortunate enough to have our own student-built house every year, so there are lots of opportunities to build. Anyone is welcome to come out, whether it’s just once or every weekend. You don’t need any experience or equipment; just yourself and a willingness to have a great time doing some good! For more information about the current build, head to the build page.
Please note: Any volunteers under the age of 18 must bring a completed Parental Permission Form (.doc). |

We take groups of about 8 volunteers every Saturday to the build site in two four-hour shifts (8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.).
To sign up, come to our weekly meetings, Monday nights at 7pm at Calvary Lutheran Church (right on the corner of State and Lake). At every meeting, we sign up volunteers for the upcoming Saturday. If you can’t make it to the meetings, just e-mail Matt at workprojects@uwhabitat.org and let him know you’re interested. However, priority will go to those that sign up at the meetings, so come to them if you can! |

UW student organizations can sign up to build together too! Organizations build on Friday afternoons, from about 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. in groups of 6-8 volunteers. There is a $50 donation required for organizations to reserve a date to build.
Spring signups are now available, sign up here Build dates are given on a first-come first-serve basis. We hope to see you out there! |
