Building Mission - Home by Home, where we are going |
| |
| |
Habitat for Humanity was founded on the simple idea that it is a simple human right to have a safe affordable home for yourself and your family. Every 15 minutes across the world that is made possible by volunteerism though Habitat for Humanity, and we are building more houses ever year. As a Campus Chapter, building offers a great escape from campus life, an easy way to learn new things, and a great way to meet new people. We are excited to be in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and to be able to support a home every year locally. |

As UW Habitat grows we have identified a number of goals that will allow us to engage more volunteers, support more families, and build more homes. These include: |

| |
- Secure a covenant agreement with HFH of Dane County for home sponsorship for another 3-7 years.
- Engage at least 150 members in community, friendship, and change building that is working on a habitat home
- Diversify our volunteering efforts to include those that attack other areas of poverty housing.
- Volunteer at least once per semester with an organization that attacks hunger
- Volunteer at least once per semester with an organization that offers refuge to homeless.
- Develop a feedback system for improvement of crew leaders, site supervisors, and organizers
| |
Long term Direction |
| |
